Who are we?Star Lab Planetarium is owned/operated by Brackin Kirkland and wife Lindsay. Brackin has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Outdoor Education, is a Solar System Ambassador for NASA, and is a recognized Laserist through the International Laser Display Association. We purchased the Star Lab in 2007 to fulfill a desire to teach others about the universe and provide cutting-edge entertainment services.
What we offer?The Star Lab Planetarium is a portable/inflatable facility that provides educational and entertainment services at a location of your choosing. The programs we offer are designed to meet your specific needs, and are sure to captivate your imagination and leave a lasting impression. Our programs include the use of a star projector, BOSE surround sound, lasers, fog, strobe lights, video projections, slides, and other special effects.
Why we do it?We have a contagious enthusiasm for space, natural science, and Laser Art that we wish to share with people of all ages.
Where do we serve?Our primary clientele is schools, camps, conference centers, and special events, but we will serve anyone who is willing to learn and/or have fun. Our primary service area is Asheville, NC and the greater Western North Carolina region. We will travel nearly anywhere in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Virginia.
We are available for programming anytime of the year, anytime of the week, and anytime of the day.
